The Costa Rica team is back – mission accomplished. They were able to put a new roof on the school in Domincal and much more. We are excited about the full impact of this effort both in Costa Rica and in Ormond Beach. Are we done now?
My hope is that mission describes who we are more than what we do. So there is always more…
I don’t have much detail yet but the next two trips to Costa are already scheduled June 14-21 and June 28- July 5. Get your applications at the information desk this weekend. And there is more.
The mission team met about an upcoming local project and they would like your help.
We want to put together some projects helping people in our community. But we need to identify a few local projects. The priority will be given to people who attend our church or are associated with our people but we are very open to helping anyone. The priority will be given to projects that require a team to help rather than just writing a check to fill a need. Ideally I’d love to see each project require 10 or more people.
Do you know of anyone who may benefit from an effort like this?
The main purpose is to continue to mobilize our church to live mission.
what if a group of single people worked together to have a kids night…taking in all the kids for “x” hours, filled with activities, leaving that evening free for single parents to get things done and for married parents to go on a date.
are there any elderly or disabled in the church that need things done, where a group could come and do what needs to be done…this could be a wide variety of things from yard work to house cleaning to house work or moving furniture…
just a couple of ideas…not even sure what you’re looking for exactly, but there are a couple ideas for you. i miss everyone down in FL. wishi could see you all, but God has me here, in cold NJ, right now…God is really good, though. one of these days, i will get come vacation time and money together and come down to visit!
