Do Angels Yawn?

26 12 2008

In a world of exponential change, some things don’t. The human struggle will remain constant. And while the truth never changes, the church must. Unfortunately “church” has become increasingly irrelevant….but we can do something about it. Join us this weekend (December 27th/28th) to hear how Beachside will address the issues of our community and how we are going to be a part of the change in it for 2009.

Service Times:
Saturday @ 6:30pm
Sunday @ 8:30, 10:00 & 11:30am

New Series!! “Jesus for President”

22 10 2008

“Fear and anxiety are gripping our country. People are afraid of the economy, losing their home, the stock market, or that their candidate won’t win. We’re all looking for someone that we can put our trust in, that gives us a hope for the future. It’s time to get back to “In God we Trust”. “Jesus is Lord” has to be more than a religious slogan but a life long calling that affects every decision we make. Join us over the next couple weeks as we refocus our lives and nominate Jesus as our candidate for hope and change.”

Celebration Weekend!!!

23 09 2008

Several times each year we want to stop and celebrate what God is doing in his people.  We call this “Celebration Weekend” and we are especially excited about the upcoming celebration. (Yes we know the bikers are in town, but they don’t get to keep a monopoly on fun!)

We invite you to worship with us at Seabreeze High School on Saturday, October 18th @ 6:30pm. Please note that this will be the ONLY Beachside worship gathering for the weekend! We will come together at Seabreeze High School on Saturday night for an exciting night of worship and teaching. Then on Sunday morning from 10:00am – 2:00pm, Beachside will take over  Bicentennial Park for a day filled with fun and food. Beachside will provide the space to play, the grills to cook as well as drinks and ice.  You bring the family, friends, and food!

*Don’t forget, for anyone interested in being baptized – we will head over to the beach @ 11:00am and have beach baptisms – then back to the park for communion/lunch.

We are excited to see you there! If you have any questions, or would like more details please contact Beachside – office@thebeachsidechurch.com.

Wednesday Nights

Join us each week as we take a fresh, new approach to our Wednesday night Bible Study as our discussion follows along with the Sunday morning teaching series. Join us each week at 6:30pm.

Splash!

Thursday Evenings from 6:00-7:00pm (beginning August 21st)

Splash is a ministry designed specifically for 1st-5th graders. Every Thursday night there will be games, prizes and videos. Most importantly, each week there will be a Bible lesson that will connect with your kids on their level.

Parents are encouraged to come and participate with their kids. We believe that the best pastor for a child is their parent.

New Wednesday Night Bible Study

3 08 2008

New Wednesday Night Bible Study

We invite you to join us on Wednesday nights starting on August 6th from 6:30-7:30pm (light food at 6:00pm). We will do a 6 week book study using “Pagan Christianity?” The purpose of the book is “Exploring the roots of our church practice’s”.  “Are we really doing church by the book?” The purpose of the 6 week discussion is to consider what it means for Beachside to do church. What is discipleship? What does a small group ministry look like? How do we best honor God with our faith without increasing the burden of religion?

I am excited about this series. When we finish the six weeks we will start something new. But it will be born out of this study and our discussion. It is foundational to who we are and I would love for you to participate. If you want to know more or to order a book go to www.paganchristianity.org.
